EN: Car Collection with good championship chances at the finale of the GTC Race at the Nürburgring

Team Car Collection Motorsport will field two cars in the fifth and final event of the GTC Race at the Nürburgring next weekend. In addition to the Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II driven by the two GTC sponsor drivers Julian Hanses and Finn Zulauf, a 992 Porsche 911 GT3 R from Car Collection will be on the grid for the first time.

The GTC Race is turning into the home stretch of the 2023 season. From October 13 to 15, the final event of the year will take place at the Nürburgring as part of the ADAC Racing Weekend. Two sprint races and a 60-minute endurance race are on the agenda. The races will be held on the long GP version of the circuit, i.e. including the Müllenbachschleife.

The two Junior drivers supported by GTC Race, Julian Hanses and Finn Zulauf, will again start in the Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II fielded by Car Collection Motorsport. Hanses is in the lead in both classifications and is aiming for the double championship. To secure the drivers’ championship, he must finish ahead of his fiercest competitor. Finn Zulauf, who missed some races due to school commitments, is in third place in each classification, but still has a chance to move further up the rankings. In the team standings, Team Car Collection is in first place and therefore also has the best chance of winning the Sprint title.
For the first time, Car Collection is also fielding a 992 Porsche 911 GT3 R in the GTC Race. Here, regular driver Klaus Koch and team principal Peter Schmidt share the work at the wheel.

Tickets for the race weekend can be purchased in the Nürburgring online store. For those who cannot be live at the track, the organizer offers a livestream on the GTC Race’s Youtube channel.
