EN: Mixed feelings for Lionspeed by Car Collection after the seventh round of the NLS.

With a 25th place overall, Klaus Koch, Lorenzo Rocco and Jörg Viebahn in the #23 Lionspeed Audi R8 LMS evo II secured second place in the SP9-AM class. The sister car with the #24, driven by Patrick Kolb, Dennis Fetzer, Christopher Mies and Patric Niederhauser and competing in the highest class SP9-Pro, was on an overall podium position for a long time, but then retired due to an accident.

The Eifel once again presented its typical side at the seventh round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series. Changeable weather presented all participants with the same difficult challenges. It rained at the start of the four-hour race, while it subsequently dried off. This made choosing the right time to change tires difficult. However, the strategists from Team Lionspeed by Car Collection hit the right slot so that the #24, which had started the race from an excellent fifth place on the grid, initially managed to hold on to third place and was thus heading for the overall podium. In the second half of the race, a rain shower once again made life difficult for the drivers. Unfortunately, the driver of the #24 was also caught out by the rain and crashed into the crash barriers, ending the race for this car in a promising position.

The other Lionspeed Audi with the #23, on the other hand, managed to stay out of harm’s way. The experienced drivers Klaus Koch, Lorenzo Rocco and Jörg Viebahn completed their stints without any mistakes and were able to finish second in the SP9-AM class.
