| At the season finale of the GT Summer Series at Hockenheim, Car Collection Motorsport will field a Porsche 911 GT3 R and make its debut in the new GT series. The team will also compete in the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland and the Tourenwagen Legenden. As part of the ADAC Racing Weekend at Hockenheim, Car Collection Motorsport is set for an action-packed race weekend. The Walluf-based team will compete in three different racing series with Porsche cars. Alongside the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland, the team will compete in the Tourenwagen Legenden and, for the first time, in the new GT Summer Series. As usual, Car Collection Motorsport will field a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport for Jova Zec in the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland. Zec has already made progress in his debut season in the series and currently sits fifth in the championship standings in his class. As usual, the series will consist of two half-hour races. At Hockenheim, the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland will mark the end of an era in German motorsport history, as the series – which has been running since 2005 – will be discontinued after the season finale. In the Tourenwagen Legenden, Car Collection Motorsport will be providing technical support for Oliver Menzel’s entry for the first time, thereby marking its debut in this popular racing series. The car in action will be a Porsche 911 GT3 R (997 generation), which will compete in the legendary Falken Motorsports livery. Following a strong season, Menzel heads to Hockenheim in second place in the championship standings and will be fighting for the series title on the circuit in Baden. For Car Collection Motorsport, this brings things full circle, as the team has previously fielded various racing cars based on the 997 Porsche. Further races with Oliver Menzel are planned for the future. In addition, Car Collection Motorsport will be celebrating a first at the Hockenheimring, making its debut in the GT Summer Series organised by GEDLICH Racing. The team will compete in the new German GT racing series with a Porsche 911 GT3 R. The car will be driven by Bernhard Wagner, who has already competed for the team in the STT at the Red Bull Ring this year, securing two podium finishes, and GT3 debutant Patrik Grütter, who brings a wealth of racing experience from the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Together, the two drivers will compete in the GT3 Am class. The GT Summer Series is aimed at ambitious gentleman drivers as well as talented young drivers looking to gain their first experience in GT racing. Three races are held per race weekend: two half-hour sprint races and a 50-minute race with a mandatory pit stop halfway through. “We are very much looking forward to our action-packed weekend at the Hockenheimring. The GT Summer Series is very interesting for our customers, and we’d like to use the Hockenheim round to get to know the series better. In the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland, we’d like to round off the season on a high note with Jova. It’s a shame, of course, that a chapter of German motorsport history will come to an end there, but the successor series also looks very interesting to us. We’re also eagerly looking forward to our first outing with the 997 and want to support Oliver as best we can with our experience as he challenges for the title. All in all, with our involvement in three championships, we’re looking forward to an intense weekend that will require a great deal of teamwork. However, we’re very well prepared for this with our team,” said team manager Romina Schmidt. The ADAC Racing Weekend at Hockenheim takes place on 3 and 4 October and offers fans a wide range of motorsport, from grassroots to junior racing.
