| Car Collection Motorsport will compete in its first race of the year on the Nürburgring Nordschleife at NLS3. Under the ‘Goroyan RT by Car Collection’ banner, Car Collection Motorsport will compete on the Nürburgring Nordschleife for the first time this year at NLS3 this coming Saturday (11 April). The team from Walluf in the Rheingau will compete in the SP9 Pro-Am class with a Porsche 911 GT3 R. The driver trio will be led by former Audi works driver Nathanaël Berthon, who brings a wealth of endurance racing experience to the team. Artur Goroyan – last year’s champion in the TCR class of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie – and Oleg Kvitka from Kyrgyzstan will join Berthon to form the driver trio. In recent years, the drivers have competed together in a TCR touring car on the Nordschleife. The NLS3 race is therefore extremely important in the build-up to the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring in May, following the cancellation of the NLS season opener in March for safety reasons. Although the Car Collection team was able to gather important data in changeable conditions during Friday’s test sessions, the team has so far lacked any race mileage on the Nordschleife this year. With the new Evo package for the Porsche 911 GT3 R in particular, every lap on the Nordschleife ahead of the endurance classic is crucial. “After the onset of winter unfortunately prevented NLS1 from taking place in March, conditions are now good for NLS3,” explains team manager Romina Schmidt. “It is important for our drivers to familiarise themselves with the Porsche’s Evo package on the Nordschleife. Furthermore, as a team, we need to gather important data during the race to further improve our package ahead of the 24-hour race. Nevertheless, we also don’t want to lose sight of the SP9 Pro-Am class standings and aim to secure a good result there.” The 57. Adenauer ADAC Rundstrecken-Trophy takes place on 11 April and promises plenty of excitement once again with an illustrious field of entrants! The race will start at 12:00, following qualifying which begins at 08:30. The entire race day can be followed via the official livestream on YouTube from 08:15. |
