Car Collection Motorsport with strong weekend at Oschersleben

Car Collection Motorsport and Jova Zec enjoyed another strong weekend in the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland at Oschersleben.

Second race weekend of this year’s Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland season at Oschersleben. Car Collection Motorsport once again entered a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GT4. Jova Zec, who is supported by the AF Race Performance Academy, drove the car in the Magdeburger Börde. Experienced GT driver Yannick Mettler supported him on site as a coach.

On Friday, Zec made the most of the extensive test sessions to get to grips with the technically demanding circuit in Saxony-Anhalt. Together with Mettler, he then went through his laps and looked for areas for improvement, which he was able to implement over the remaining days. The success of this approach was evident in Saturday’s qualifying, where Jova Zec secured a strong fourth place.

Both races also went very well for the young German driver. In the first of the two half-hour races in particular, Jova Zec was caught up in a thrilling battle, in which he was able to hold his own against the competition, some of whom had significantly more racing experience. Ultimately, Zec finished both races in fourth place in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GT4 in the Car Collection Motorsport car.

Car Collection Motorsport thus concluded the race weekend at Oschersleben on a high note, as Jova Zec continued his positive development at the Motorsport Arena and secured his two best results of the current season so far.

“It was a great weekend for us at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Jova’s progress continues to be steeply upward, and for us it is only a matter of time before he secures his first podium finish. We would also like to thank AF Race Performance Academy and Yannick Mettler for the excellent collaboration over the weekend,” said team manager Romina Schmidt.

The Porsche Sports Cup Germany continues at the Nürburgring from 26 to 28 June. The Porsche racing series will once again be part of the ADAC Racing Weekend, the ADAC’s platform for grassroots sport and young talent.
