| Goroyan RT by Car Collection finished the Nürburgring 24 Hours with a solid result. The ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring 24 Hours is now behind Car Collection Motorsport. 352,000 spectators and 161 cars, including 41 GT3 cars in the top class, made for a true motorsport festival. Car Collection Motorsport fielded a Porsche 911 GT3 R, driven by Alex Fontana, Nathanaël Berthon, Artur Goroyan and Oleg Kvitka. In qualifying, the team secured 30th on the grid, placing them in the midfield of the SP9 Pro-Am class. The one-day race through the Eifel then began at 3 pm on Saturday, quickly turning into a battle of attrition and made more difficult by changing conditions. Car Collection Motorsport’s strategy was therefore to complete the race without any major mistakes or problems. This approach paid off, as the Porsche – which lined up under the Armenian flag – steadily moved up the order. Whilst one top-ranked car after another dropped out due to technical issues or accidents, the 911 GT3 R from the Walluf-based team completed the full race distance. After 24 hours, 3,806.7 kilometres and 150 laps, the team finished this year’s ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring. Alex Fontana, Nathanaël Berthon, Artur Goroyan and Oleg Kvitka were classified 14th in the overall standings. In the SP9 Pro-Am class, the quartet finished fifth. “We drove a solid race, which we’re happy with. Our goal before the race was to fight for a podium finish, which we narrowly missed out on, but the most important thing was to finish the race. We will now continue to work hard to be even stronger on the grid next year. This year’s 24 Hours of Nürburgring was perfect promotion for motorsport: a fantastic crowd, Max Verstappen on the grid and a strong field of competitors turned the race into a motorsport festival,” said team manager Romina Schmidt. |
