EN: Car Collection returns to the Nordschleife and will compete in NLS 7 and 8

For the first time this season, the Car Collection Motorsport team will compete on the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife. The Hessian team will field a Porsche 911 GT3 R at the NLS doubleheader on September 13 and 14.

After Car Collection last competed on the Nordschleife in the 2024 season, the team is now returning to its roots at the Nürburgring. The Porsche 911 GT3 R, designed in the colors of the Armenian flag and bearing the number 44, will be shared by experienced Armenian driver Artur Goroyan and Swiss professional Alex Fontana.
Goroyan has been active in the NLS for many years and has already achieved several successes in smaller classes. The 37-year-old has also already driven a GT3 car for Car Collection to the podium in the Middle East Trophy.
Swiss driver Alex Fontana is one of Car Collection’s regular drivers. The fast professional has already competed for the German team in the GT World Challenge, the GT Open, and various other international races.
The two will compete together in the Pro-Am class. Car Collection will be offering race taxi rides in the team’s own Porsche 911 Cup on Friday. The double-header consists of two four-hour races, which will start at 12 noon on Saturday and Sunday. Those who cannot be at the track in person can follow the action via the NLS livestream on YouTube.
Peter Schmidt, team boss: “The Nürburgring and especially the NLS have a long tradition for us. This is where Car Collection has its roots, and I am glad that we can compete here again this year. We want to expand our involvement in this direction again in the future and are already working on the 2026 season.”
