EN: Car Collection competes with two cars at the 12H Spa

Team Car Collection Motorsport will enter two Porsche 911 GT3 Rs in the Hankook 12H Spa Francorchamps as part of the 24H Series. After the disappointing season opener in Mugello, the team wants to fight for good results on the famous “Ardennes rollercoaster”.

After the season opener in Mugello, the 24H Series entourage will now make a stop at Spa-Francorchamps. The tradition-rich Formula 1 circuit in the Ardennes is a challenge for teams and drivers alike and is one of most drivers’ favorite tracks. Car Collection Motorsport has already gained a lot of experience in various racing series at Spa and is fielding two Porsche 911 GT3 Rs in the 24H Series race.

The car with starting number 12 will be driven by a quartet of drivers. The American “HASH” and the Swiss Alex Fontana already share this car in the GT Open Championship. They will be joined by Ivan Jacoma and Yannick Mettler, two other experienced Swiss drivers.

The Porsche with starting number 80, on the other hand, will be driven by three drivers from Hong Kong. Antares Au already has a lot of experience in Europe and is not driving for Car Collection for the first time. His partners Jonathan Hui and Kevin Tse also have a lot of long-distance experience and have already been successful in Europe.

With a record starting grid of 50 GT cars, the sixth edition of the 24H of Spa will offer an action-packed weekend. With 10 brands and teams from 18 nations, the large field is diverse. The action gets underway on April 19. After the 90-minute free practice session between 12:10 and 13:40 local time, three 15-minute qualifying sessions will be broadcast from 15:30 to 16:25 in the afternoon. The first five hours of the race will be held on Saturday, April 20 between 12:50 and 17:50. The last seven hours of the race will be held on Sunday, April 21, between 10.50 am and 5.50 pm, after the usual interruption during the night. As usual, the whole thing can be followed on the organizer’s website Creventic and on YouTube.
