Team Car Collection travels to the season finale of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS in Barcelona next weekend with one championship title in its luggage, but still several chances for further titles. After the drivers’ title in the Pro-Am classification of the Endurance Cup, the championship in the team classification and further top results are possible.
Already at the last race at the Nueburgring, the three drivers Ivan Jacoma, Niki Leutwiler and Alex Fontana secured the Pro-Am Cup championship title in the Porsche 911 GT3 R. Now the crew of the #24, fielded in collaboration with Car Collection’s Cetri Porsche Ticino, also has a great chance of winning the team championship in this classification. The lead over the pursuers is so big that they only need to finish the race in Barcelona in the standings to be sure of the title.
Since the last race, Car Collection has been fielding another Porsche 911 GT3 R in collaboration with Dinamic GT. This car, number 56, is entered in the Silver Cup with the three drivers Daniele Di Amato, Jop Rappange and Tanart Sathienthirakul. The driver trio would like to finish on the podium at the finale and thus end the season with a top result.
The three-hour race will start promptly at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 1. A total of 55 GT3 cars will then be on the hunt for points, positions and podiums. The entire race will be broadcast live on the SRO YouTube channel.
