EN: Debut at the biggest GT3 race in the world – Tresor by Car Collection enters two cars in the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa

Premiere for Car Collection Motorsport: The team from Walluf in Germany, which has been active in endurance racing for many years, will compete for the first time in the 24h race at Spa Francorchamps as part of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS. At the TotalEnergies 24h of Spa, Tresor by Car Collection will field two Audi R8 LMS evo II GT3 cars.

The Spa 24h race has been one of the greatest challenges in endurance racing for years. Not only the demanding track in the Ardennes, but also the high number of 65 registered GT3 cars makes this race, which is already being held for the 74th time, an ultimate test for man and material. Car Collection Motorsport faces this challenge and will enter two cars in the world’s biggest GT3 race.

Under the name Audi Sport Team Tresor, the two Audi Sport drivers Christopher Haase and Mattia Drudi will start together with Luca Ghiotto with the support of Audi Sport. The trio will share the wheel of the #12 Audi R8 LMS evo II and will compete in the Pro classification, where they currently lie in seventh championship position.

While the driver line-up of the #12 is familiar from the current championship, the crew of the #11 has been reshuffled for the Spa 24 Hours. In addition to 16-year-old Lorenzo Patrese, who is competing in the GT World Challenge for the entire season, the two Italians Daniele Di Amato (31) and Alberto Di Folco (26) will be piloting the #11 Tresor by Car Collection Audi R8 LMS evo II together with Frenchman Pierre Alexandre Jean (21). The quartet will compete in the ultra-competitive Silver Cup.

Peter Schmidt, Team Principal: “The Spa 24h race is one of the biggest challenges in GT3 racing and I’m really looking forward to this challenge. We are well prepared and want to show our best performance. If we are not affected by any incidents, I am sure we will be fighting for top positions.”

The race starts into the 74th 24h of Spa on Saturday at 16:45 CEST. The complete race can be followed in the livestream on Sky Sport or on the GT World Challenge homepage.
