| Car Collection Motorsport made a solid debut in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GT4 with Jova Zec. Car Collection Motorsport made its debut in the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland at Hockenheim. The team competed in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GT4 with a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport. The car was driven by young German driver Jova Zec, who is supported by the AF Race Performance Academy. The team and driver used a test day on Thursday to fine-tune their preparations for the race weekend at the historic circuit near Mannheim. Zec managed to establish himself in the midfield of the GT4 drivers, leaving several significantly more experienced drivers behind him. In the first race, he fought his way up from sixth on the grid to fourth place with a strong start, but fell back to the rear of the field after spinning. But the 21-year-old wasn’t deterred and eventually fought his way back up to fifth place in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GT4. Following a retrospective penalty against a rival, Jova Zec was ultimately awarded an impressive fourth place. The Car Collection Motorsport driver finished the second race in sixth place. “I’m satisfied with our debut in the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland. Jova was able to improve – thanks in part to coaching from Yannick Mettler – and set good, consistent lap times. We can build on this performance over the coming race weekends and hope that we can continue to achieve strong results in the upcoming races. We’ll work hard to make that happen!” said team manager Romina Schmidt. The Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland continues on 30 and 31 May at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. The Porsche racing series will once again be part of the ADAC Racing Weekend. |
